Started as Gallery Kunst & Beterschap in the original house of the village doctor in old village Sloten (near Amsterdam). The goal was to open the practice and living part of the house for young starting artists. Originally for 6 times a year for a period of 6 weeks each. Over the years the “house gallery” became a popular place to be. Not only starting artists have liked to exhibit their works, but also well known artists.
From The Netherlands (eg): Nelson Carrilho, José van Gool, Saskia Heuer, Diana Thiry and Anton Vrede. From Germany: Christian Rothmann, Ena Lindenbaur and Klaus Zylla, and from Portugal; Fernando Pinheiro.
A lot of well known celebrities participated with their opening speeches.
